Sorry about the lack of updates, everyone. Fred has been working me 9.5 hour days, and by the time I get home I'm ready to crash. That and I've been house sitting for people, and having to live at their houses while they are away.

Mike got RA, so he gets to come home from the 15th to the 2nd, I believe. I'll have to double check on that one. It'll be nice having him home for Christmas, and New Years I suppose we'll have a party before he leaves.

I made 20 pounds of fudge this afternoon, so THAT was fun. Butterscotch fudge, and regular chocolate fudge. I have like 6 bags of chocolate chips left over, however. So...not sure what I'm going to do with that. I have all the christmas cards made out, they will go out tomorrow when I go down to drop off the cars for their estimates.

Moving all of our stuff into a storage unit tomorrow, because the one I'm sharing with my aunt is being emptied as she is moving. I'll get either 50% off the first month for Military, or 5% off every month. Haven't decided which one I'm taking, probably the 50%, because I do not plan on being in the storage unit for more than 10 months. At least, as it is at the moment that's not the plan.

Had to put my 16 year old cat down last week. That was hard, I've had her since I was 4. But, I also saved a cat, so that's a good thing. The guy in front of me ran it over, so I turned around and got out. It was screaming, had blood pouring out of it's eyes and ears, and wouldn't use it's back end. I was there for about five minutes, bawling, trying to get ahold of someone on my cell, and NOT ONE CAR stopped. This is the main street in my town, and no one even stopped. People are so cruel. Finally, a nice older man stopped, and helped me wrap the cat up and put him in the trunk of my car. I took him to the animal hospital, and they watched him for two days, and cleaned up all his wounds. Incrediably, for being smacked by a car, nothing is broken and there is no internal injuries. What a lucky cat...

So now he resides in my tack room, being nursed back to health. My grandmother won't let him up in the house, because he's a tom cat, which is just as well. I have lots of mice that have set up camp, and started to chew on my saddles and whatnot, and once he's better hopefully he'll earn his keep.

I hope everyone is doing great, and has a great christmas and a safe new years. I'm sure I"ll update between now and then, but just in case! Love you all.

Man. I have turned into such a girly girl. It's amazing. I just finished painting my toenails and fingernails hot pink. I dried my hair with a blow dryer, and used a shine-spritzer to make it soft and shiny. Today, I put sparkly lotion on, eyeliner, eyeshadow, sparkly cover up [very subtle sparkles], mascara and LIPSTICK on. And now I'm sitting here, basking in the scent of my gingerbread candle and admiring my handy work on the nail painting.

However, that doesn't mean I've turned into a wuss. I just squished a tick in between my fingernails. Must've gotten it when I went riding this morning.

I have the hugest headache, but I'm not sure why. I worked until 9, that could be the reason. Plus, I was stressed about the cell phone bill all day. Turns out it was a big misunderstanding, and his total bill was only $84.10. Good. So, the check for that will be sent out tomorrow. =)

I'm bored. I went to bed at 7 last night, so I woke up at 4 this morning. THAT was fun, sitting there, staring at the ceiling. I played monopoly for a while, then managed to drift back asleep for another hour or so. So I got up, and went riding. Went on the switchback. Just about ate asphalt at one point. Anna saw a bag out of the corner of her eye, and went FLYING out into the middle of the street at a canter [we were on the shoulder when she saw it]. Her back legs went flying to one side, her front end went down, and I was screaming my head off about how stupid she is because it's a friggin PLASTIC BAG!!!!!! I seriously almost ate shit...my heart was beating so fast. I wasn't wearing a helmet, so a fall at that speed on asphalt would have done some hefty damage. Afterwards, Anna was all apologetic, flipping her ears back and forth, and whuffing as if to say she was sorry. On our way back, we breezed past the bag like it wasn't even there. *rolls eyes* Typical of her. At one point she thought it'd be fun to hop down a hill. We were cantering, and she was rocked back on her hind PERFECTLY, just sliding down, and then she decided to transfer weight to her front and HOP down. God did it jar my back like nothing else. -_- I swear, every time I ride her she comes up with something new and different to suprise me with. And I think she does it on purpose, too. She seems so happy with herself when she performs a new stunt and catches me off guard.

My tummy hurts. =( I just took two Excedrine for Migrain on an empty stomach, so that might be it. Who knows. I ran a mile and a half today, and rode for about two hours. So...I don't know.

My kitten is absolutely insane, I kid you not. She was literally attacking the cat food dispenser this morning. HEr whole front end was in there, and she was paddling around like her life depended on it. There was cat food EVERYWHERE. And everytime I tried scooping it back it, she'd GROWL at me. Sucker is only as big as my hand, but she thinks she's the tough one. Bah.

Mike just got an $800 cell phone bill.

Yes. Sprint is going to get a big earful as soon as I can get home from work and yell at them tonight.

    That is BULL.

    Hrmph.

Went and saw Mike yesterday. It was fun, albiet very emotional. Resolved some things, didn't resolve others. But hey, that's fine with him and I.

His MOS is still a radio field operator, he cannot get it changed back. So...that sucks. However, he gets out next Tueday, and has a week off, then HOPEFULLY he is getting 5 weeks of RA out here in San Diego. =) He doesn't have to go to 29 palms until January he said.

I took pictures, I'll post them after work. I need to take Roxy [dog] to the vet, she tore open a pad on her foot and it's really gross.

Now I remember what I wanted to ask!

Ed, Mike said you had found a site where you can download software? Can I get the link to it? I need to DL Microsoft OFfice, and I cannot get a working set on Kazaa.

    THankkk youu! ♥♥♥♥

My boss groveled today, and thus I am still content with my job. So that means no quitting, and having to find another one. Which is just as well, as I have seniority at my current job, and I'd have to start at the bottom again if I went to another one. Plus, he is pretty flexible with my hours, so that works. And $8 isn't bad, especially for fast food.

So...things are still up in the air as to what is going on after MCT. If he gets stuck with this MOS that they gave him, he'll have until January 1st off he said, then he'll go to 29 palms for training. If he gets put back to his Small System Repair or whatever, he'll leave right after MCT. So...who knows. Hopefully I get some answers this Sunday, and will let everyone know.

My kitten is trying to eat my toes. They are not edible, cat. Go away.

And that is it for tonight. Leave comments about what you'd like to hear more about, et cetera et cetera.

Mike called me today. His MOS has changed...again! To a radio man. So that means he has one of the most dangerous jobs out there, because he'll be one of the main targets. Mike was very pissed about that, as am I. I don't think it's rightt that they went and changed it without even asking him. He's going to try to change it, and I really really hope that it does get changed. Otherwise, he will be going to Iraq.

Anyways..I didn't get to see him this weekend, because his liberty ended at 4:30 and I got off work at 5:00. But I have next weekend off, so I'm going to be up there at 8 when his liberty starts. I guess we're going to go bowling and stuff, so that'll be fun. I'll be sure to take pics.

The new kitten we have is doing great. Mike got me a new kitten because Taco, my cat he got me for our six months, got out earlier this summer and was eaten by coyotes. Her name is CeeBee [CB=cry baby] She's deaf, however. The poor thing.

I ran Suki over the other night in my grandma's new truck. I didn't mean to, and she's fine! The vet said she was fine, she was more worried about the kick my horse gave her than her leg.

Other than that...nothing else is new. I'm going to go look for a new job, my boss screamed at me for asking for next weekend off. I am so tired of his crap. He's so verbally abusive it's insane.

Bah. WHat a big pain in the butt.

I dropped Mike off at Camp Pendleton Tuesday afternoon. He was really nervous, to say in the least. Him biting my head off, telling me to do three differen't things at once [get my ID, have a cell on each ear, and get the registration] led me to believe that. =P But it's okay, he apologized, especially after I told him I understood he was nervous and didn't blame him.

He's not used to me being understanding, I guess. o.O

Either way, he's gone! He called my Tuesday night, to say that he was bored, and really didn't want to be there at all. He just wants to be home, and done with all this stuff. I haven't heard from him since, but he said he'd probably be out in the field all week, so that's fine. I'll probably get a call from him Sunday or something, since he has Liberty this sunday. [I think he does, don't count on it - he wasn't sure, either]

Oh, and we have a new e-mail address, for us both:

    payette_mike_jess@yahoo.com

That's until MIke gets home and can make us one at Cox, since I cannot seem to figure it out. =P

Mike's MOS has changed. Instead of being a Field Electrician, he is now a Small System Repair and Programmer.

So, instead of going all the way to North Carolina, he will be going to 29 Palms. His schooling was cut back from 8 months to only 8 weeks, so that's a very good thing.

I am going home Saturday, because I am scheduled to work Sunday. Mike will be coming home Monday evening after work, then on Tuesday reporting to Camp Pendleton for MCT, which is 18 days.

I'll update as I get more information.

Okie dokie, this is a journal for the Payette Family - AKA Mike and Jess. I know things are hard to keep up with, especially with Mike bouncing around all the time, so hopefully this will be helpful for those of you looking for information.

First off, we'd like to thank Ed and Stacey for being generous and helping us get our first car, a gorgeous 2005 Hyundai Accent.

Right now we're just trying to get all our bills and finances settled, and our way of payment. Mike leaves for MCT on the 1st, which is Tuesday. He'll be there for 18 days, then he goes straight to North Carolina for his MOS training, which is [as far as we've been told] 8 months long.

I will be keeping my job, obviously, and staying with my grandmother during MCT and MOS. I'll take care of the bills and whatnot while he's gone, and make sure everything stays how it should.

Please comment if you have questions or just want to say hi.
